Spectacular Super Moon

Sri Lankans were able to view the rare sight of the ‘super moon’ this evening which appeared after January 26, 1948, while the next super moon will appear on November 25, 2034. The super moon appeared 14% bigger and 30% brighter. Pix by Kushan Pathiraja

    It is 14% bigger and 30% brighter than the 'smallest Moon', which also appears only once in (maybe) 30 years!!!The growing or the diminishing is a slwo process that takes over (around) 30 years!!!!
