President Maithripala Sirisena who is on a state visit to Cambodia paid a visit to the historic and highly venerated Angkor Wat Temple located at the Thailand – Cambodia Border today. The Buddhist temple is also a UNESCO World Heritage site spread on a 170 hectares. The President was accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Chaufea Veang Som Ol.
