At least 20 bodies are being cremated from today. Officials said that it will take approximately two hours to cremate each body so the process will take a few days. Pix by Indika Sri Aravinda

The Hindu religion, the oldest in the world, introduced the practice of cremation to the world. But some religions that came into existence thousands of years after the birth of Hinduism, started this strange practice of burying the dead bodies, but this invariably lead to all the bodies being eaten by worms underground. From health and civilised point of view all bodies should be cremated irrespective of religion.
