Angampora, the traditional martial art form of Sri Lanka and known to be one of the oldest fighting disciplines in the world was staged last night on the banks of Mulleriyawa lake to commemorate the 450^th anniversary of the victory at the battle of Mulleriyawa. The Battle of Mulleriyawa was a battle between the Sinhalese and Portuguese in 1652 where the Portuguese army was routed out in the fields of Mulleriyawa. Pix by Kushan Pathiraja
