The CSR and Welfare Division of SJMS Associates, a member firm of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP, donated a water purification plant to Bogaswewa Vidyalaya of Bogaswewa in Vavuniya, bordering Anuradhapura District.

Bogaswewa Vidyalaya is located in a very remote area, and this village can be reached only through a very narrow road.

Inaccessibility to clean water is a serious problem that has gravely affected the health of the people of this locality. With a view to protecting at least the future generations from this hazardous state of affairs to a certain extent possible, the SJMS Welfare and CSR Society took the initiative to install the water purification plant. Water purification plants are an essential facility for the people of this locality, but are sadly beyond their means. The establishment and continuous maintenance of a water purification plant is a costly affair. Hence the generosity of donors is the only hope for the farming community of this region.
