The Commercial Bank of Ceylon recently presented Rs.750,000 worth of footwear to 500 children who were affected by the recent floods in the Baduraliya area as a part of its comprehensive multilevel post-flood relief programme. The children from five schools in the area were selected after a needs assessment conducted by bank staff together with relevant officials in the area. Each child received a voucher to purchase shoes for school. The presentation took place at the Baduraliya Adarsha Kanishta Vidyalaya.
