SLAITO reiterates support to PM

Apex tourism body Sri Lanka Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO) wrote to Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe congratulating him for being re-elected to the position this week and reiterating its support towards the government similar to the past.

“We are pleased to confirm our unstinted support to you to carry forward the objective of making the tourism industry one of the top foreign exchange earners to the country.

We look forward to building upon the close relationship that we have maintained with you in the past,” the SLAITO said.

The association also expressed gratitude for the United National Party (UNP) economic plan, which includes the development of tourism mega zones in the South, the Cultural Triangle and attracting high-spending visitors to the country.
