Exercising of JKH 2015 warrants begins from Sept. 29

John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH) yesterday informed the company’s warrant holders dated May 26, 2015 that the exercising period of their warrants will commence on September 29, 2015 till the expiration date of November 12, 2015.

The company noted that the said warrants (ticker: JKH.W0022) will cease to trade at the close of trading of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) on September 28, 2015, being the market day immediately preceding the commencement of the exercise period of the warrants. 

The purchase price of the warrant is Rs.161.87 per ordinary share following adjustment made for the ordinary share subdivision of the company on June 26, 2015.

Each warrant shall entitle the warrant holder to purchase one ordinary share of the company at the purchase price.

JKH said the company will send the required notice of exercise to the warrant holders registered in its books as at the close of trading of the CSE on September 28, 2015.

The warrants, which were part of a rights issue, were issued to part finance JKH’s US $ 650 million Waterfront project.
