For the second consecutive year, the Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) will be hosting an exciting line-up of speakers at its Entrepreneurial Forum to be held on September 30.

Like last year, the Forum, titled ‘Dare to Be Different’: The COYLE Sampath Bank Entrepreneurial Forum, will present a panel of exceptional entrepreneurs and impact leaders in the areas of shipping and logistics, pharmaceuticals, and manufacture and export.

With the objective of highlighting and sharing the challenges and fortitudes of ‘making it through thick and thin’, this year’s keynote speaker is Sri Lanka’s famous ‘son’, Kumar Sangakkara, who, having retired from cricket has begun a series of projects ranging from social entrepreneurship to social responsibility. Sangakkara will speak on his journey, post cricket, and how he aims at making a change.

This year’s panelists include Rohan de Silva, Chairman/Managing Director , Mclarens Group of Companies,   Lalith Kahataptiya, Chairman, K.I.K. Group of Companies, Kalana Hewamallika, Chairman/Managing Director, Interpharm (Pvt) Ltd & Gamma Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd and Niral Kadawatharatchie, President, Freight Links International (Pte) Ltd.

Completing this distinguished panel is moderator Dr. Arittha Wikramanayake, who has established a very successful law practice in Sri Lanka. Dr. Wikramanayake was recently featured in LMD’s A-List of business leaders, renowned for their integrity and transparency. His wit and honesty is expected to add flavour to this panel discussion.

“Our aim is to create and environment that will inspire a business community, create connections and a platform to share knowledge of how to succeed in the business arena. These panelists have years of experience and will share and show how to succeed,” said Navein Perera, chairman of COYLE. “We urge everyone to come and listen, learn and relate to this forum.”

Last year’s forum was a sell-out with an audience of over 500 people who enjoyed a motivating and thought-provoking panel discussion.

Having a reputation for supporting local entrepreneurs, Sampath Bank is on board once again, as the Forum’s main sponsor. “Having seen the success of last year’s Forum and being an advocate of local entrepreneurship, we take great pleasure in being a part of this noble event,” said Aravinda Perera, Managing Director of Sampath Bank.

COYLE has been continuously focusing on promoting entrepreneurial development and been actively involved in dialogue, discussions and representations to create a business-friendly environment in the country. Members of COYLE often get involved in stimulating positive feedback and exchanging information in formulating policies and regulations relevant to  private sector development.

The Forum will be held at the Grand Ballroom, Galle Face Hotel on September 30. The event will start at 5:45 pm followed by networking and cocktails. For further details, contact COYLE Secretariat on 0112 883560 or 011 7538615
