Vegiland Exporters (Pvt.) Ltd won the Silver award in the Agriculture Bulk sector at the NCE 2016 Export Awards ceremony, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka held recently at The Hilton Colombo.
The company was encouraged by the recognition received for the progress that the company has made over the past years.
It is the mission of the company to export fresh fruits and vegetables produced via best farming techniques to enhance the quality, thereby achieve Sri Lankan and European quality standards and provide exceptional customer satisfaction in long term.
Vegiland was established in 2008. The company has been one of the fastest growing fruits and vegetable exporting companies for more than five years in Sri Lanka and expanding rapidly to new markets. The company owns two successful farms, located in the North and North Western Provinces. These farms will have a capacity sufficient to produce fruits and vegetables per year for export purpose.
Vegiland exports a volume of around 800,000 kgs per year to Europe, mainly to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, Norway and Germany. All products are exported under strict hygienic conditions with the required quality standards ISO 22000.
The company has been building its international reputation for quality in the export of fruits and vegetables.
The company exports both seasonal and non-seasonal fruits and vegetables to the international market. The company is utilizing best farming methods to produce fruits and vegetables in its farms. The idea behind the business is to supply healthy and delicious vegetables and fruits to the international market. The company is concentrating on untapped markets in the Middle East in order to increase its exports during 2017.
