The 3rd Annual General Meeting of the Tourism Industry Skills Council (TISC) was held on June 11th at the NAITA Auditorium in the presence of senior officials from the respective associations and ex-officios from the public sector institutions.
Janaka Jayalath, Acting Director General of TVEC was the guest of honour and the keynote speaker.
TISC was inaugurated on 25th May 2016 under the Ministry of Skills Development & Vocational Training to analyze the tourism skills market, identify the skills demand, develop tourism as an industry of choice for employment, quality assurance of tourism training and facilitate delivery of quality tourism training to the nation through public private model and as a need a company by guarantee was established a tripartite agreement with Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission of Sri Lanka (TVEC) and National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority
of Sri Lanka (NAITA).
The following were elected as Directors and office bearers of TISC (Tourism Industry Skills Council), and nominated by the respective associations.
