The Siddhalepa group was engaged in many activities to mark Poson around the country.
Placing dustbins, renovating flower stalls and displaying the perahera route in Thissamaharama were commended by thousands of devotees visited during perahera season. Also in Sithulpawwa, Siddhalepa initiated a waste management project and made available a 24-hour ambulance service.
In Anuradhapura, the company carried out a programme to educate devotees to dispose of garbage in proper places for which dustbins were provided. An awareness campaign near lakes and reservoirs on the danger of bathing received public attention, which prevented deaths by drowning.
