A seminar to create awareness among Sri Lankan fruit and vegetable exporters of the opportunities available in the European Union (EU) market will be held on July 7, 2016 at the Export Development Board.
The event, which is organised by the Lanka Fruit and Vegetable Processors’ and Exporters’ Association, an affiliated trade body of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, will focus on the quality aspects to be considered when exporting to the EU market, regulatory requirements to be fulfilled and the export opportunities available in the European market.
Officials of the Agriculture Department, Industrial Technology Institute and Sri Lankan Standards Institute will take part as the resource persons of the seminar, which will be held under the title ‘Farm to Export – Opportunities in the EU Market.’ The seminar will start at 9:00 a.m. and will be held until 3:00 p.m. those who wish to take part may register by calling 0115588871 or email to manori@chamber.lk.
