Pan Asia Bank in commemoration of World Children’s Day and the World Thrift Day, which were celebrated in the month of October, organized an island wide art competition named ‘Siththaru’ for children under 11 years of age.
Nearly 11,000 children actively participated in this competition, sending paintings on the theme ‘A rupee saved is
a rupee earned’.
Out of the large number of entries, 280 paintings were selected to be exhibited at the J.D.A. Gallery in Horton Place on the
31st October.
The Chief Executive Officer of Pan Asia Bank Dimantha Senevirathna and M I Podi Nilame – Dean/ Faculty of Visual Arts were the Chief Guests at the inauguration of the exhibition.
