The National Chamber of Commerce (NCC) in association with the Insurance Board of Sri Lanka will hold a seminar on ‘Rights of Insurance Policyholders and Role of Insurance Companies’ on Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the chamber auditorium, No: 450, D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.
Insurance Board of Sri Lanka (IBSL) Chairperson Indrani Sugathadasa will give the introductory remarks and a senior official of the Insurance Board will speak on the ‘Rights of Insurance Policyholders’.
Insurance Ombudsman Dr. Wickrema Weerasooriya will speak on the ‘Role of Insurance Ombudsman and Alternative Dispute Resolution of Insurance Disputes’.
Ceylinco Insurance PLC Managing Director Patrick Alwis will speak on ‘Fair Treatment of Customers - Insurer’s perspective’. There will also be a question and answer (Q&A) session, where the participants would get an opportunity to find out any information on the subject. The panel will be IBSL Chairperson Indrani Sugathadasa, IBSL Director General Damayanthi Fernando, Insurance Ombudsman Dr. Wickrema Weerasuriya and Ceylinco General Insurance Managing Director Patrick Alwis.
