Mangala confirms Ranel Wijesinha new SEC Chiarman

Finance and Mass Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera responding to a media query yesterday confirmed that top professional Ranel T. Wijesinha will be appointed as the new Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman.
Secretary to the Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunga told journalist that Wijesinha and other commissioners will be appointed “in a day or two”, following Presidential Secretariat’s approval.
Wijesinha served as a Commissioner in the previous SEC Commission headed by Thilak Karunaratne.
