Laugfs Gas PLC yesterday entered into a strategic partnership with Abans Group, enabling Sri Lankans to conveniently purchase their cooking-related products, including gas cylinders, gas cookers, freestanding cookers and other appliances, through the extensive Abans
showroom network.
The official signing of the agreement between the two conglomerates took place at Colombo City Centre yesterday.
“The alliance is a significant event in the consumer retailing industry in Sri Lanka, where two of the most trusted and well-reputed Sri Lankan brands come together to serve Sri Lankans, offering a high level of customer excellence. As truly local brands that enjoy sustainable success, we are well-positioned to offer customer accessibility to reliable, high-quality cooking-related products without delays or other interruptions that might cause inconvenience,” Laugfs Holdings Limited Group Managing Director/CEO Piyadasa Kudabalage said.
Speaking at the occasion, Abans PLC Managing Director Behman Pestonjee noted that the cooking-related products offered by Laugfs Gas would be made available through the extensive Abans showroom network that spans across the country, under the new partnership.
“This strategic partnership will be the stepping stone to numerous mutual benefits that will enhance and enrich both brands in the long run, especially during the time of economic crisis. The partnership offers customers the advantage and ease of purchasing Laugfs Gas products hassle free,” he went on to say.
