Jayantha Dhanapala to deliver 3rd Gamani Corea Memorial Lecture

Former ambassador Jayantha Dhanapala will deliver the third Gamani Corea Memorial Lecture on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at 5:00 p.m., at the BMICH Committee Room D.
He will speak on ‘The Quest for Global Good Governance’.

Dhanapala was UN Under-Secretary-General on Disarmament. He was a career diplomat who served in many important countries including China, the UK, India, Switzerland and the USA. He was Sri Lanka’s Ambassador to the United States and Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sri Lanka to the UN Office in Geneva. He was Head of the UN Institute for Disarmament Research.
