The Finance Ministry is calling for proposals from all stakeholders including the general public to be included in the budget 2018 that will be presented in Parliament in November this year.
Since the government has a plan to introduce a successful budget aimed at building a strong economy, an enriched country and creation of one million employment opportunities, people are invited to submit their proposals to enhance the opportunities in those fields to the Ministry of Finance, The Secretariat, Colombo 01, or to email: info@itmd.treasury.gov.lk before the October 15, 2017.
“Democracy, reconciliations and development are the three main pillars on which the Unity government has been formed in order to fulfill the economic needs as well as the aspirations of the masses of the country.
Therefore, the professionals, scholars and those who are engaged in the manufacturing, services and the agriculture sectors are requested to contribute with their proposals for the budget 2018,” a Finance Ministry statement said.
Finance and Mass Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera will present the budget 2018 in Parliament on November 09.
