Dickwella Estate achieves all-time record price

At the Colombo tea auction held on April 24 and 25, 2017, an invoice of Dickwella Estate BP was sold at Rs.720 per kilogramme, setting a new record.
Dickwella is situated in the Badulla planting district on the fringe of the Malwatte Valley and is known to produce sensational teas during quality season.
The estate is part of Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC. The tea was purchased by J.Cey.Tea (Pvt.) Ltd and Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC was the broker for the record-breaking transaction.
