Venturing into the Egyptian market, Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC recently tied up with Al-Dahbya, a company which imports tableware and glassware items, to further expand its presence in the Mediterranean regions.
Dankotuwa Porcelain is a tableware manufacturing company, which exports its products to over 25 countries. It is found in outlets globally such as John Lewis, British Home Stores, etc.
“Al-Dahbya is a well established and longstanding business entity in Egypt. As Dankotuwa is also an established brand – both in the local and international market – with 33 years of experience and success, this partnership is a stepping stone for many to follow in reaching towards the overall objective of the company’s vision of taking the Sri Lankan industry capabilities to greater heights,” the company said.
Mirror Business learns that the new designs including Empress Green, Victoria Cobolt and high-value gold design items – considering the selection and choice for the Egypt market – will be exported.
Al-Dahbya has 20 retail showrooms in Egypt and works as the authorised importer of brands from Honk Kong and the United Kingdom.
