The Chamber of Young Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) yesterday congratulated the newly-elected president Gotabaya Rajapaksa on his appointment as the seventh Executive President of Sri Lanka.
“COYLE recognises and appreciates your extensive experience and leadership demonstrated in your previous achievements.
We have no doubt that with this versatility of experience and leadership in our country, you are poised to provide exemplary leadership to the future goals of Sri Lanka and also in sustaining political stability, peace and security in our region,” a COYLE statement said.
The association expressed its unwavering commitment to the economic development of the country and urged the new president to pursue “real and sustained reforms”.
“COYLE considers your election as an extraordinary political achievement. It is a crucial step in your path towards the betterment of the country and peace and reconciliation for Sri Lanka and the region.
We would like to offer to you our most sincere wishes for a successful term as president. We look forward to working with you closely to further strengthen our friendship and to advance our common objective of building a united and prosperous Sri Lanka,” the statement added.
