After a very successful sponsorship of the ‘Run for Their Lives’ (RFTL) charity run recently, AIA takes the partnership further by encouraging its Vitality members to contribute towards the Apeksha Cancer Hospital in Maharagama.

The latest charity rewards option on AIA Vitality, allows users to make a donation towards the hospital. All one has to do is stay active and engaged with AIA Vitality to achieve the weekly target and select the ‘Donation’ option when claiming the reward. AIA will then donate Rs.500 to the Apeksha Cancer Hospital in Maharagama. Donations will go a long way in helping cancer patients in Sri Lanka have a fighting chance in their battle against cancer.

This worthy cause was facilitated by the Run for Their Lives (RFTL) initiative, which is focused on raising awareness for those stricken with cancer in Sri Lanka. AIA was also proud to be a sponsor of this year’s five-kilometre charity run in aid of the Apeksha Cancer Hospital in Maharagama organised by the Rotaract Club of Colombo Uptown.

Adding his thoughts on the partnership, RFTL Chairman Phillip Martil stated: “We are very thankful to AIA Sri Lanka for all the support extended to us. We are constantly looking for ways to encourage the public to contribute to charitable causes and Vitality allows us to benefit both the charity and the donor. AIA Vitality is the ideal platform for this as it not only encourages Sri Lankans to be more active and lead a healthier lifestyle but also allows them to give back to the community.”

AIA CMO Nikhil Advani commented: “Cancer is a growing concern in Sri Lanka. AIA is committed to helping people live longer, healthier, better lives and in keeping true to our promise, are keen to help in any way we can to contribute towards cancer treatment in Sri Lanka.” The charity rewards option is the latest addition to a list of exciting weekly reward options currently available on AIA Vitality, including mobile top-ups from any mobile network, movie tickets from EAP Films and online shopping vouchers from Takas.lk. AIA Vitality is a science-backed wellness programme that offers its users an opportunity to get fit and healthy while earning rewards along the way. Over 23,000 Sri Lankans take part in the weekly challenge and enjoy weekly rewards. So join AIA Vitality and get healthy by staying active and getting rewarded for it.
