Pasan Wanigasekara to assume duties as BOI Director General

Multi-disciplined corporate leader Pasan Wanigasekara has been appointed as the new Director General of the country’s State-run apex investment promotion body, Board of Investment (BOI)

Wanigasekera, who is also an attorney-at-law with a finance background, is expected to assume duties in his position tomorrow.

    This was predicted when the govt thought that one guy could manage both roles. Good that the govt quickly realised that it is too hot for one to handle. Anyway, good luck with the new recruit to bring in some new FDIs (over and above the currently bookedin USD 2.5 Bn) in 2021!
