Youth parliamentary poll tomorrow

The election to elect 332 members to the Youth Parliament will be held tomorrow at 332 voting centers island wide. A total of 358,053 Youth Society members are eligible to vote.

The voting will be held between 8.00 am. to 4.00 pm. The counting is expected to begin at 4.30 P.M. and the first result could be announced before 12.00 midnight. Nominations were called between November 1 to 10 and election campaign ended on Thursday and 1,395 candidates are contesting the poll, Youth Affairs and Skills Development Ministry source said.

The opening of the Youth Parliament will be held on December 12th with participation of President Mahinda Rajapaksa after the election of the ruling party and the opposition, Prime Minister, a 13 member cabinet, the speaker, deputy speaker, opposition leader, chief whip and the leader of the House of the Youth Parliament.     it is good to have youth parliament but you have to have minimum qualification level for the youths.
    at least we can avoid corrouption in future
