Wimal Weerawansa held talks with UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe short while ago in Parliament to discuss on the abolition of the 13th Amendment to the constitution.

UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake and the Chief Opposition Whip John Amaratunga were also present at the discussion.

Minister Weerawansa must have been very pleased with Ranil's "radical" plans including doing away with the World Bank and IMF whereas it was still impossible for him to "unplug" those even while sitting within MR government. Ranil should give him another "radical" proposal to bring it as a bundle with 18th amendment and executive presidential system so that he can give his support for the whole deal.
