Wimal at CID to give statement

National Freedom Front Leader and former Minister Wimal Weerawansa arrived at the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the CID a short while ago to give a statement, the Police said.

They said that Mr. Weerawansa was summoned in connection with an illegal procession held in Kaduwela in 2011. (LSP)

I think he too should be arrested for helping or giving false information about her.If a false statement or information given by a person to a Government institution to get a benefit I think it is a crime.If a normal citizen did it he is at Welikada long ago.
