Grumpy Friday, 11 March 2011 08:06 PM
I welcome the statement by the President in it's context. however I believe no one called for a disbanding of the military but trimming it to cater for the needs of the country. The tone of the statement seems to address the implied patriotism of the masses. I sincerely hope the defense spending is based on an accurate assessment of the needs of the country and not an attempt to make the military a showpiece.

The important thing at this moment is that powerful western countries and UN must be prevented from governing other countries through INGOs. This is more important as far as world peace is concerned. These countries should understand the diversity of political culture, human reaction and geography in other countries. Unfortunately these INGOs are considered today as judges for human rights issues. All the corrective actions should be discussed at UN not in threatening way.
