Wheel bursts while landing

One wheel of a light passenger aircraft belonging to a domestic passenger service had burst while landing at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this afternoon, airport officials said.

 

The incident had taken place at 1p.m. and only the pilot and two passengers were in the aircraft at the time of the incident.

 

No one was reported injured. (Deepa Adikari)
