are you saying that arguing in favour of press freedom and great freedoms for people to express themselves without fear is a bad thing??? It is not about which country has a right to tell something to another country. Although we are divided by artificial man made borders, we are all human and we all share the same rights, aspirations and duties. It is our right as Sri Lankans to have the same rights to freedom as any other human being and it should be the duty of any other human being, belonging in another state to ensure that this right for us is guaranteed and protected!

what's wrong with being a Western ally? Stop biting the hand that feeds you! Almost 100% of Sri Lanka's exports go to the West! It is the West that is propping up our economy so that you can feed your family! Why wont you go start exporting to our best friends in the East such as China, North Korea, Iran and Russia!

West does not buy our product in order to feed us. they buy becasue our product r of good quality and they see it lucrative to import our product. They do not buy for charity. they buy becasue, it is worth buying from us. please do no underestimate our productivity. nobody is feeding us. we feed ourselves selling our produce.

Their is more racism in the US that anywhere in sri lanka. Just look at the the social disparity between blacks, Latinos and whites. If us has press freedon why why are they hounding wikileaks ? CNN and all US news are controled by the CIA. Thats why you never hear avout the 911 conspiracy. Thank god for Mahinder for standing up to them. Proud of SL !
