Ven. Amila Thero out on bail

The Venerable Dambara Amila Thero who was arrested two weeks ago on charges of taking money to send labour abroad for employment, was released by the Horana Magistrate on bail today.
The monk, who is the President of the Patriotic National Front, had been let out on a cash bail of 25, 000 and two sureties with the case to be taken up again on the 9th of April.
He had been arrested after complaints were received to the police and CID from the areas of Horana and Kuliyapitiya.
