Vehicle catches fire on Marine drive

A luxury vehicle caught fire on the Marine Drive in Bambalapitiya this morning, police said.

The driver managed to escape unhurt as he got off no soon he saw the smoke coming out of the engine.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and the Bambalapitiya police are investigating.

    First this is not a Luxury VehicleAll owners of this make and model should contact the Local Agent for this brand and get a clarification for the cause as there has been so many recalls by all manufactures

    This might be a short circuit. It's hard to believe that some one could buy a brand new X trail but couldn't do servicing due to costs.
