UNP MP Dayasiri Jayasekera given bail over alleged assault

The court today released UNP MP Dayasiri Jayasekera, on personal bail of one hundred thousand rupees after he surrendered to the Hettipola court over a complaint lodged against him alleging that he had assaulted a person at a presidential election rally held yesterday.
The court also directed him to give a police statement and give an assurance he will not to harass the complainant. The MP was ordered to appear in court on
