Racism isn't born, it's taught. Division is wrong when it is forced by the majority, and I believe it is still wrong when it is requested by the minority.

What about Australian born sri lankans backing sri lanka while playing in Australia Mr. Sumathipala ?

You better talk about horses and not about cricket.
MagodisThuma Thursday, 03 March 2011 01:29 AM

only in this country u see srilakan born australians, indians, pakistanis, and even englishmen. for every one who is supporting other countries pls remember U EAT,LIVE AND EARN from this country only. stupids if u dont like the team keep ur mouth shut without supporting other countries, and dont mix politics with the game.!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all some one has to take action to stop the drums and music, which is a total nusense during the match. It happens only when SL is playing and it's so annoying.
citizen1 Wednesday, 02 March 2011 04:54 PM
Exactly! And what matters if you are polite to visiting team and show true sportsman-like qualities. Obviously cheer more vigourously for our team!!
mahe Wednesday, 02 March 2011 04:50 PM
Yes correct Mr. Sumathipala. It was so sad some of Sri Lankans not only supporting Pakistan but they insulted Sri Lankan cricketers too.

You cannot win the world cup when the GOSL media is accusing the players of match fixing for loosing a match!
This is not the way to unite a team or a nation by letting them down when they are in a big mission!
PKB Wednesday, 02 March 2011 01:52 PM
Again & again I'm telling you guys SL has no chance for this WC Our great batsman Aravinda did a big mistake by leaving out Vass & SJ.. It's SA who gonna take the cup...
Rohan kariyawasm Wednesday, 02 March 2011 11:44 AM
We have murali who speaks only sinhala and we have dilshan who is a muslim and has become sinhalese not only changing hi name but also only speak sinhala so all commmunities support SL cricket
Turf Wednesday, 02 March 2011 11:51 AM
What is bet we will win the world cup
gona Wednesday, 02 March 2011 11:45 AM
That I am sure of, however is the team good enough to win? Just check out the England batting line up, then India, then SA, Australia and finally Pakistan. SL batting is poor as seen in the Kenya game, mishits galore, Compare that to say England or India, It is time the SL players stepped up and proved themselves.

Please don't be smart by isolating one community indirectly. I hope you watched the T20 world cup in England. There our Sri Lankan team was cheered by most of the Sri Lankan expatriates and students.
Like wise here also may be Pakistan expatriates may work, they will support their nation like what we do in abroad.
Please try to understand the fact. In Sri Lanka, other citizens also live. please don't try to policalize the sports.
