The double cab was blocked by a police patrol team who rescued the two women. One woman had screamed when the double cab was passing the Namalwatta police road block in the Uppuweli police division which led the policemen to trace the fleeing vehicle.
Police spokesman Ajith Rohana said that the police intervened after they heard the woman screaming.
The women had got into the cab in Horowpathana after the suspects offered them a lift to Gomarankadawala. But the suspects had not stopped the vehicle, the police said. (Supun Dias)

Where is the so called law & order in this country? So many abductions & so little done. This time these women were lucky.
