Two Sri Lankan men have been charged with the murder of Sameera Chandrasena in Oxford. The men, aged 23 and 33, are also charged with arson at the victim's home in the North Canterbury town.
Detective Inspector Virginia Le Bas says the charges have come about as a result of thorough investigative work by Police, ESR and Fire Service investigators.
She says there have been a number of threads to this investigation, and they've had to contend with a crime scene that was severely fire damaged.
The formal identification of Mr Chandrasena has now been completed and his body will be released to his family in due course. (Source: Yahoo news)
