Three killed,70 injured as bus skids off road

Two adults and a child were killed and more than seventy were injured when a bus carrying school children on an educational trip to Nuwara Eliya plunged into a 100 feet precipice at Seetha Eliya on Nuwara Eliya-Welimada road this afternoon.

About 76 people including seven teachers and five parents had been on the bus at the time of the tragedy. (Shelton Hettiarachchi)

Punish the person in-charge for organizing the trip at a time when a bad weather condition and earth slips are prevailing in upcountry, especially in Nuwaraeliya District.

Not enough, the parliment requires at least 76 children to get killed in one shot before they can take action and bring in new rules, otherwise the MP's and the President are too busy spending our public money.
