Two killed in accident

Two people were killed and another two injured when a motorcycle collided with a concrete mixer vehicle at Periyakallaru area in Kaluwanchikudi on Kalmunai - Batticaloa road last night, police said.

Those who died in the accident were aged 29 and 34 and residents of Valaichchenai.  

Police said that the motorcycle had lost control and collided with the other vehicle. The injured had been admitted to the Kalmunai Hospital. Police are conducting further investigations.
