Two killed due to floods

Two persons were killed while one person went missing last night in the Galle district, as a result of heavy rains prevalent in the area.

According to the Police, the three persons had gone missing while they were attempting to cross the Dellewa Bridge in Neluwa, Liyanawathura area last evening during the heavy rains. Bodies of two persons were found this morning during a search conducted by the Police and villagers.

Meanwhile, the Police said that search operations are still going on to recover the remaining missing person.
