Congratulations to Adhitha Weerasiri Dias. Well done!
Has any organization in SL kept track of all the high achievers like Adhitha Weerasiri Dias? Where are they now, what are they doing? I bet most are living overseas and contributing to other countries to develop and prosper. I'm not blaming those people, but when we elect monkeys to run the country there is no hope or room for the brains to remain and contribute unless they tow the line of the monkey. Even then its only for the benefit of the monkey not the country. I hope and pray Adhitha and his batch will be the exception and start replacing the monkeys with some brains.

Sad side of this is that these supremely intelligent kids will have to work under supremely less educated, cunning, corrupted and elected politicians

Well Mr. Shanthapriya, It's real glad to know some of you would not in the way due to your imagination. See, apparently, you consider that the entire life and the value of the child is dependent upon exams in school, particularly the AL and see nothing beyond. Even if this was the case, you look at the two or three who are in the top ten, and not at the percentage entering university or result percentages or any other criteria that considers everyone. Ever considered why a report card had the 'class average' for comparison and not 'first in class result'?.
MMJ Friday, 20 December 2013 11:59 AM
While the achievements of these students should be commended, if it is mainly due to the school that the marks were received, then why don't you wonder why all others didn't gt very similar results in spite of the fact that these schools above, are, in fact, schools which have also produced results consistently in the past? And you would know that the tuition masters who have the island first also has many failures in the class? And many major employers who tend to look for the output of these schools; you think they are incapable of judgement? And that all parents who try to put their children in to these are incapable of correct decisions? However, I think you are not really incapable of understanding all this but are out to satisfy another need. Inability to attend one of the schools you mentioned or send a child there perhaps?

I wish I can believe this results… surprisingly no Tamils have ranked in first places, which is making the results very unrealistic.
