The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) claims its members led by party leader R. Sambanthan were refused entry to the Chetikulam IDP camp when they visited the area in Vavuniya this morning.

TNA MP Sivasakthi Anandan, speaking to Tamil Mirror, said that 12 members of the Tamil party had to stay outside the camp premises for over an hour after the authorities refused to grant them permission to visit the site.

He said that the TNA delegation led by party leader R. Sambanthan were to visit the IDP camps in Vavuniya to look into the wellbeing of the remaining IDPs.

So is this Democracy that the Govt. is boasting about. What's there to hide? The IDP's are not war criminals, they are citizens. So the claims on the violations of human rights is correct.

To win the hearts os Tamils , the government must study , identify and fullfil their immediate nedds. There is no point blocking TNA. It will create room for future arm groups. The LTTE was a product of such mistake. Sinhalese are always fools.

They would have purposely visited by knowing this, so that it will be another world-class action-film for them to shout. More they have problems, more they can grab the international attraction. This is called "fishing in trouble water".
Why did they pay a visit there on the Anniversary days? Why did not they visit to help Tamil people in Colombo who were displaced due to floods?
Even Dr. Jayalath (MP-UNP) had expressed his dis-satisfaction over celebrating war victory when there are IDP's.
All are on the same boat!!

Sorry Mr. Sambanthan, we are unable to permit you to visit the IDP's because the GSP+ is in the balance, The 3rd or 4th loan of the World Bank has been delayed by another 4 weeks so how can we allow you to expose us..
