It is high time to rid the country of all religous divides and work for the good of the nation. Most of the political leaders only work for their own agendas ans prosperity.

Iraj Jayarathne Thursday, 13 September 2012 02:32 AM

I think government should allow TNA to govern the East, those folks are far better than their ultra religious, intolerant counterparts.

RH All eyes on you. You decision will carry a long way

people in the East have rejected TNA, SLMC and UNP- aLL MUST UNDERSTAND REALITY- A coalition of all parties is the best

Anura Gunawardane Thursday, 13 September 2012 05:11 AM

Iraj, really agree with your suggestion to let TNA to rule. First this will endorse acceptance of present provincial council system by TNA, secondly it will increase the confident in Tamil of those areas living under one Sri Lanka.

    Rifzy Thursday, 13 September 2012 05:32 AM

joint administration is not decision in Muslims point of view, since last 4/5 years we are treated like slaves in all states in Srilanka. We don't need others to give necessary things we will get what we want. We got the majority in east as other seven provinces were governed by anti muslims why cant us lead eastern province? This is the right time to get all what we want

    Fazli Thursday, 13 September 2012 09:03 AM

Rifzy : while I fully endorse your views, dont forget that SLMC havent got the majority as you claim, they are a deciding factor in the current situation. In a different scenario what happens in the unlikely event of TNA getting married with UPFA and divorce UNP. In politics nothing is impossible. As a former US President puts it 'in politics there is no permenent friends nor permenent enemies, only permenent interests.

Paisa Must Appah Thursday, 13 September 2012 02:50 PM

Go for it Hakeem. Go for it. Youll can be chief minister soon.

Come Allah or Shivan , exit Buddha from East has been commenced …

    sarath Friday, 14 September 2012 01:35 AM

it is not the MC to decide as to what they should do but UNP must tell the people what stand they are going to do at this juncture. they failed miserably during the war and now they reaping noting. people suffered 30 years because of foolish acts of JR by having a Referendum in 1982 where 90% of Tamils asked for an elections and not the extension. at least now ask UNP to forget petty political differences think the national interest and support MR. then MC also will take its way to move with national interest.

    Rifzy Friday, 14 September 2012 05:44 AM

Hakiem will show what's politics to government.....

    berty Friday, 14 September 2012 06:51 AM

    TNA -- Technical Winner.

BUT: Muslin Congres should have the Chief Minster Post..

Govt had absolute majority last time- This time begging others to get a majority.

    RJ Friday, 14 September 2012 06:26 PM

ITS MY VIEW THAT MUSLIMS IN SRILANKA POLITICS SHOULD REPRESENT IN ALL POLITICAL PARTIES ,
NOT TO BE BEING ALL MUSLIMS IN ONE PARTY AND CLAIM AND DEMAND TO SUPPORT TO GOVERNMENT MAKING PARTY
THIS CREATE HATRED AMONG OTHER COMMUNITIES
ALL SRILANKA NEEDS IS A JUST GOVERNMENTS SERVING ALL SRILANKANS EQUALY
NO ONE CAN CLAIM ANY PART OF SRILANKA , THEY CAN JUST AREA OF TAMIL ANCESTRAL , BRITISH HAS HANDED OVER SRILANKA TO ALL LIVING COMMUNITIES IN SRILANKA , START DIALOG FROM THAT POINT , JUST KEEP ALL PAST STORIES AS OUR HISTORY AND NOW ALL WE SRILANKAN S ARE A COMMUNITY TARGETING TO REACH TOP HEIGHTS
