Thunder showers are expected island wide this afternoon and evenings while warm weather will continue in the coming few days, the Meteorological Department told Daily Mirror online

The public is advised to take precautions against lighting which occur during these thunder showers.

Anuradhapura had recorded the highest temperatures in the island with the past two days recording 35.9 and 36 Celsius. (Daily Mirror online)
