We are going to experience again heavy flood as what we had few months back. Still Colombo Municipal Council has not taken steps to clean the gullies and identify main roads where they go under water. For example Gullies right opposite to CMC Depot 2B have not cleaned for last several years and made it difficult to see whether there are gullies they are clogged up covered with mud. Engineers of the said Depot daily see this. When Lake Crescent, road next to Gangaramay Temple, goes under water to 4 feet Engineers wait inside the Depot. I appeal to Hon. Defense Secretary to take notice of this situation particularly utter inefficiency and lethargic action of the Engineers of CMC.
