Three killed in accident

Three persons including a child were killed and 11 injured when a lorry collided with a tree in Aralaganwila this morning, Police said.

Police said the injured were admitted to the Polonnaruwa Hospital.

    They should implement a special training for heavy vehicle drivers in order to minimise such accidents that could be easily prevented

    High speed, carpeted roads, bold tires and haste = accidents due to lack of control of the vehicle. Thousands of innocent lives are lost.

    add to that substandard vehicles with zero safety features, which exist only because the poor people cannot import a better vehicle due to insane taxes.

    Dimo batta/batti are not heavy vehicles, those accidents are about general attitude about safety. No care about self and others

    We should inspect the vehicle once a year..
    NOT only the Emission test.. brakes and many other things..
