Indian police had to escort Minister Arumugam Thondaman’s nephew Uva Provincial Councillor Senthil Thondaman who was on a visit to Thirunallar Temple in Pondicherry in Tamil Nadu, when a group of political activists tried to surround him on Saturday night, Indian media reports said.

Thondaman, was taking part in religious activities at a Temple in Pondicherry when he was surrounded by a group of around 20 Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi activists.

The group had demonstrated waving black flags, shouting slogans against the Sri Lankan government and the President, resulting in a tense situation in the vicinity of the temple, reports said.

It is said that police personnel had attempted to control the situation and was finally able to escort the Provincial Councillor out of the temple premises under heavy security.

The latest incident was reported weeks after Thirukumaran Nadesan, husband of Deputy Minister Nirupama Rajapaksa, was mobbed by a group of activists in Rameswaram.

If the Tamils are litterate, then there won't be any racism, bigotry, ultra nationalistic views or ego. These racist Tamils won't allow our moderate, balanced minded, intelligent Tamil brethren to survive. They want only lunatic racist Tamils with their mantra: Tamil and Tamil and nothing but the Tamil. This attitude of Tamils are disgrace to entire civlized humanity. Tamils have to grow up living in this our planet call Earth, third rock from the Sun as equals with equanimity. I can tell these racist Tamils one thing: be human before thinking about Tamil and Tamil and Tamil! This will take them longway to civility and decency. When will they grow up and think: ' live and let live'

Just imagine, we all thought all these days that "Blood is thicker than water" but it does not seem to be so when it comes to Tamil Nadu Tamils!
