Video: Thai Princess Sirindhorn arrives

Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand has arrived in the country on Sunday starting a four day visit, the state owned SLBC said.

She is scheduled to tour in Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, Kandy, Peradeniya Botanical garden and Nuwara Eliya areas.

“The princess will view the Kandy Esala perahara and will be hosted in a banquet at the president's house in Kandy by the President,” it said.

Meanwhile, Princess Takamado, the eldest daughter of Japanese Prince Takamado will also arrive in Sri Lanka on a four-day visit today, on an invitation extended by President Mahinda Rajapaksa and First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa during their visit to Japan in March this year.
