Its exactly correct. US is a malicious country where they preach democracy but do not follow.

USA is the most religiously tolerant country in the world! Just yesterday, they approved the building of a mosque next to the WTC site!

At seventeen she may think that Christianity is better at 34, she may revert to her parents' faith, who knows? Is there any restriction that one shouldn't? I don't think you can understand the idiosyncrasies of religious principles so soon! Prophet Mohamed at 40, Saviour Jesus at 33 and Lord Budddha at 35, they say, attained enlightenment.

Yours is sensible. None has created any. It is more realistic and logical rather than hypothetical.

Please don't argue about religions here...that's the most stupidest thing people can do...because religions are based on trust...that depends on person to person...arguing about it will definitely hurt lot of people...it's his or her right to believe what he or she wants to believe...so let it be like that.
Sammy Friday, 06 August 2010 06:45 AM
There is a basic human right for anyone to choose their own beliefs, as long as they do not indulge in degrading others. I can understand the girls fear. To say that any particular religion is the only way to heaven, truth or whatever is narrow-minded thinking, like frogs living in a well.

A child has no choice as far as religion and nationality is concerned at the time of his or her birth. But who says that he or she cannot change both due to convictions when he or she becomes mature and has the power to decide independently.

What is wrong with you fellows? We should not be discussing about Religions or Gods at this moment, imagine the mentality of her parents and their agony at this moment, what difficulties they would have gone through to raise this child?, can this child grow up well without her parents proper guidance and love? Its a shame on the person who converted her in to Christianity and shame on the judge for this judgement, THE JUDGE should have united the child and the parents and then would have asked them to have proper counseling.Religion religion religion, war war war, shame shame shame. My apologies if i had insulted the religion here.

Really sad for this person, hope she has a peaceful death when she goes to meet her creator.

She wants to be American, so let her be. Why should we bother.

"trust" i completely agree with u,
to "reply to trust" religion is a tool created by men in power to retain that power for them selves, there is some truth if u examine the great peoples lives that most religions are based on, but that truth has been manipulated by others who are greedy for power.

If the girl was a christian and coverted to Islam everything would be the other way around. The girl definitely will be called member of Al Qaeda and jailed. United States is nonsense!!!
millicent Friday, 06 August 2010 05:41 AM
One should live life on their own convictions, and it is sad to note that with all the signs of the times coming before, we fail to realize the Creator.

Please tell us, who has created the world and who is judging the Karma?
faith Friday, 06 August 2010 04:47 AM
Poor family.... its not about faith or religion for them. This is a result of people going far from their faith... theres no point blaming the child its all the parents fault and now they suffer.... lets pray for all to be guided in the right path....

Nihal Fernando Friday, 06 August 2010 04:30 AM

Jayamanna Friday, 06 August 2010 04:13 AM
Can this be calculated plan by the family itself. Sri Lankans are very clear in playing with this type of game. LOL
trust Friday, 06 August 2010 04:05 AM
NO body has created anybody. It is you who creates you or whatever. Your fate lies inside you. its you who is the savior of youself. no body can be your saviour. A great teacher has shown the pathto freedom. You have got to follow it to get freedom. It is all in your hands. Dont be in dark. try to open your eyes and see whats reality.
