Teachers won’t sign vouchers from next year: Union

The Government Teachers’ and Principals’ Union said today that from next year, teachers belonging to the Union would refrain from signing cash vouchers to purchase school uniforms.

The Unions told a news conference that the concept to issue vouchers was impractical.

    These unionised vocations - eduucation and health mainly - want everything easy and more and more benefits. Will not work for the countys benefit. Howcan this country benefit. This mut be textile mudalali money talking.

    At least distribute these vouchers for compensate the benefits what they gets from public funds. Establish some limitations for week days tution.

    In a class only 30 to 35 children. If the class teacher can not sign vouchers for 35 children and says impractical then they not fit to be teachers. Are we handing our children to these types of people.

    Not just signing the vouchers, they have to maintain records, get signatures, collect receipts and enter details and so on. This is like election duty. They have enough work load relating to studies.
