The government insists there is tangible evidence to prove the allegations raised against General Sarath Fonseka and appealed to both the opposition and the media not to make his arrest a political issue.

Government spokesman and Media Minister Lakshman Yapa Abeywardana, speaking to reporters today, said that Fonseka was arrested by the Military Police and is being interrogated for conspiring against the government and the Sri Lanka Army.  (SAJ)

Are You Living in Sri Lanka or not. He is popular among only 42million including you. Not the majority of Sri Lankans. Anyway I am also not agree with the arrest. He was our best Army commander in the Sri lankan history (but not the populer presidential candidate).

GOSL could not find any tangible evidence when Lasantha was killed, missing media people but was able to find what they want to jail anyone who has information and evidence on war crime. Burma, Pakistan, North Korea, Libya are our directors now and nothing canbe done as of now. We need to find a way for liberation and freedom to make this country a democratic one.

Without even thinking the valuable service the Major General Fonseka rended to the nation, he was pulled by the ruthless rulers (army) in a 3rd class manner. Rajapakshe won't your conscience beat for such a nasty act. This is rediculous... ofcourse.
